Hi! How are you doing? My name is Fabio Lobo, but I think you already noticed that. I’m Brazilian, 30 years old, and I live in São Paulo.

I’ll tell you a little bit about me here. Not that I think anyone will read this at all (I doubt it!), but some things can be useful for someone (hi, mom!).

First of all, here are some links in case you want more details about my knowledge and my work:

Do you want to know even more? Let’s go then!

Who is Fabio “Reznd” Lobo?

fabio lobo

It’s-a-me, Fabio! My real name is Fabio Resende Lobo — “Reznd” (it’s like “res – and – e”) is a nickname with my middle name.

Yes, I’m this dude over there. I’ve been working in this area for over a decade, and my main focus is front-end development, but I started out as a web designer.

By the way, I started out as a blogger — it was just a hobby at the time. I always wanted to customize the template of my blog, so I started trying to understand HTML and CSS from other websites to adapt them in my blog.

Over time, I discovered Dreamweaver, Flash, and, of course, Photoshop. I learned everything by myself since there was not much material in my language for beginners at the time.

I became a problogger and also started an internship in a company that worked with blogs. I also began to take courses, such as Advertising Design and a SEO course. I used to work with Illustrator to create and Notepad ++ to make the magic, and that’s when I started working with WordPress.

After a while and a few freelances, I gave up the problogger career and started working on a digital agency that still did not know about WordPress — with my knowledge with WP, it soon became the main CMS of the agency. There I started using Photoshop to design and Sublime Text to code, and I also started learning some PHP and JavaScript concepts, as well as digital marketing.

Today I am solo and have some projects/companies. I keep digging, studying and learning. Always!

I’m Web Designer

I have a degree in Advertising Design, as well as some courses and workshops on graphic design, web design and art in general.

I do web designs (with UI and UX concepts), logos and eventually some graphic design materials (barely). I work with Photoshop and Illustrator.

I’m Front-End Developer

I am self-taught in the area, but I did some courses and attended several workshops and lectures to improve my knowledge.

I develop websites, blogs, e-commerces and apps (I rarely use frameworks like bootstrap — I have my own optimized, organized and lightweight code). My codes are optimized (SEO and minification), always aiming for performance and accessibility. I work with Visual Studio Code, BEM methodology, Gulp and Compass / SASS.

I’m “WordPress Developer”

I do not like the term “WordPress Developer”, but as it has become increasingly common, let’s go with it. I am self-taught with WordPress, in which case I did not take any courses, see lectures or anything — thankfully the documentation is very complete!

I develop websites, blogs and e-commerces with this CMS — including custom posts, customizer panel, plugins and widgets. Optimization and security are top priority, and I try to use as few plugins as possible.
